Healing Justice- Liberatory care
in practice

Healing justice challenges the pressure to prioritize others at our own expense and to glorify self-sacrifice—especially for workers and survivors.

We understand healing as a nonlinear, collective process rooted in empowerment and repair. Our healing justice work centers practices and interventions that honor grief, dismantle oppression, and build life-affirming systems. It draws on ancestral wisdom, strengthens our capacity to face crisis without collapse, and invites us to practice liberation in real time.

Healing justice isn’t just about surviving harm—it’s about transforming it. Together, we remake our world with resilience, care, and imagination.

Healing Circles: Support for caregivers and Survivors

“A supportive space for those who care for others. Find connection, renewal, and community care.”

Our Healing Circles offer a monthly space for frontline social workers, advocates, preventionists, community organizers, educators, change-makers, and survivors committed to ending power-based violence. These circles are created for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and Queer community members, offering a supportive space to slow down, reconnect, and heal.

Each month, facilitators introduce a new theme and guide folks through open conversations and body-focused healing practices that support nervous system regulation and address trauma. Participation is always optional—come as you are, take what you need, and return when you're ready.

Our Approach to Healing

Our Approach to Healing

Because trauma lives in the body as much as the mind, we use somatic tools to support nervous system regulation and healing.

peer-guided Conversations

Our conversations grow from what the group brings, with each person’s input shaping the path forward.

Our practice of solidarity

Facilitators show up not as experts, but as peers—with lived experience that creates space for real connection, empathy, and mutual care.

Introduce Healing Circles to Your Organization

Our monthly Healing Circles are free and open to all—but we know that stepping into a new space with strangers can feel daunting.

Experience transformative team connection with Healing Circle's three powerful offerings. Our 60-Minute Connection Circles unlock collective restoration and community alignment, while our Monthly Custom Team Circles deliver organization-specific healing experiences that evolve with your needs.

For a more immersive experience, our Staff Retreat Integration brings the healing directly to your off-site gatherings with specialized 90-minute to 2-hour sessions.

Elevate your workplace culture and empower your team through the revolutionary power of intentional circle work.

What folKS ARE saying ABOUT US.

"Watching the police tell certain survivors they deserved their abuse is not normal. Scrambling to fill gaps left by broken systems that retraumatize and punish rather than heal is not normal. And yet, we are asked to keep doing this work, day in and day out, alone. The burnout, the sadness, the exhaustion—it’s not just personal. It’s structural. It’s political. And it’s by design. These systems neither prevent nor end violence. Instead, they perpetuate harm, blocking access to justice and healing while upholding systems of supremacy. "

"It was a great experience in being seen and heard, exactly where and how we are in our experience! So much compassion, good energy and encouragement was shared along with feelings, truths and revelations."

"One of the true judgment free zones I've ever been in where its free to try something uncomfortable and gain the gift of community and serenity it provides."

“What the Solidarity circle means to me: it gives me strength and power - despite what happened to me. I am empowered to talk to other people and to share my story. We are on each other’s side every step of the way. It’s full of people who understand what we have been through because they have been through it themselves. For women who come from other countries and are people of color, I want you to know that you are not alone and this is a safe space for you. You are valued, you can find support here. You know, the word solid is in solidarity - we are solid - we are strong. In the Solidarity circle, we aren’t alone anymore. Something is being done.”

"The team at Survivors Know truly cares about you; not as a “client” but as a person and a survivor.  The team understands that the Service Industry is one of the most mentally and physically demanding ways to support your income, and the atrocities that may occur are generally swept under the rug.   Working with them has allowed myself and others to regain trust and confidence, find help in different outlets, live with less fear, and overall feel heard."
